SuperGreen Trivia is a PowerPoint presentation that is set up to run like a game-show. Split your class into two teams and have an individual from each team attempt to answer each question. The person who can provide the correct guess the fastest gets a point for their team!

In this lesson, students will explore methods of converting primary energy sources into electrical energy. Using renewable (green) and non-renewable energy sources, students will generate electrical currents. At the end of the lesson, students will compare renewable and non-renewable energy sources in British Columbia and pursue creative alternatives for clean energy.

Hummingbirds are found throughout most of British Columbia. This small, warm-blooded group of birds has several unique adaptations and abilities that allow it to survive our cool climate. This lesson explores characteristics of hummingbirds and the steps we can take to make our environment more welcoming to hummingbirds.

While investigating the power of the sun, students will discuss methods of protecting themselves from the sun's harmful ultraviolet radiation. They will explore solar thermal energy by examining a radiometer, playing with a solar UFO and creating solar ovens. They will use photovoltaic cells to power small motors.
